Conversations at CAAM - Journeys, issues & insights

The History Council has initiated a series of Q&A conversations with distinguished members of our community who have compelling stories to tell. Guest speakers have included Judge Consuelo B. Marshall, Chief Judge of the United States District Court, Central District of California, the first woman to hold this post and the first and only African American woman west of the Mississippi River to be Chief Judge of a District Court and Reverend James M. Lawson, Jr. Rev. Lawson, is a world reknowned spiritual leader and peace advocate who worked in the Civil Rights Movement at the request of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and served as president of the Southern Christian Leadership Conference for fourteen years.

Program support by Verizon and Southern California Gas & Electric, San Diego Gas & Electric and Sempra Utilities. We are grateful for their vision in helping us to share our artistry, document our stories and preserve our histories.
